.............decent boxes

Picked up two boxes yesterday (#s 113 & 114) from one of my usual pick up banks. Keep in mind, I am not a customer there....and all the tellers are aware of that fact.

When I picked up the boxes, another teller said a customer had made a deposit with fifty half dollars last week and he set them aside; thinking I might want them.

I did, thanked him and bought them. Though they did not yield any keepers; just goes to show that there are some real nice bank/cu employees out there.

On to the boxes:

# 113 gave me 9 keepers: 45s (first Walker this month), 66, 67x3, 68d, 69d and pair of 01 (cupro-nickel) proofs (I did not have an 01 yet !)

#114 only produced two keepers (68d & 05d) but over all these were the best boxes in a few weeks.

I had 2 cute tellers greet me eagerly Sat. morning at my coin counter dump bank - they had 23 Ikes for me - all type 2 76's. That made me feel pretty good. I always play a game with them and have them guess my dump totals before they're counted. Winner (closest without going over), gets the halves in the reject tray.
They love it!

Congrats on the Walker,loves the silver ladies! Nice to always have pleasant bank tellers to deal with,that's great that they are looking out for you.

I had a nice man from one of the banks today that put all of the coins I bought into a heavy duty plastic bank bag and then carry it out to my car. I told him he didn't have to do that,that I would come back in for it as I was taking the first bag of coins out. I ran back in and he was walking out with them and I thanked him for the help. This bank is always cool with me if I ask about any denomination of coin,they will sell me huge amounts and not question me. They gladly sell it to me with a smile.

...........oh yeah, speaking of nice tellers, when dumping halves at a branch (before picking up boxes #113 & 114) the coin counter jammed.

It seemed a 1990 Swiss 1/2 franc had lodged itself "inappropriately". Yeah, they gave it to me.
