great seal with strange symbols updated

ok found this today it was the only thing i found worth talking about
it is about 3" hight and broken on the right side
back is plain shows no sign of any type of connection
the thing i dont know about is the strange symbols around the 13 stars
mud(swat) has solved what it is (a watch fob)
and here is the best rendition of the symbols i could do
i think the symbols must mean something the do not appear on the official great seal
also there are only 8 arrows the official one has 13

ok folks this is a repro of the Tiffany & Co. steel die of 1885
was in use for only 17 years before it
had to be replaced due to wear.
it also was the only seal to use symbols in the clouds around the stars
the symbols have no meaning that has been reported

Federal law does not allow anyone other then the government from using the great seal for any propose
thats the reason there are only 8 arrows

yep. This seller claims pre-1914 when in reality its post-1902. Rosette should have back attachment. I dont know if its military.

I dont know what marks you are talking about?The arrows look the same,and I believe there were different stalks in times of peace and war.There were several companies that produced this button and had different variants

if you look at the second picture you will see the 13 stars now look at the circles around the stars
there are symbols in the circles
in all the pictures i can find of the great seal none of them show any symbols in the circles

There are many different slight variations of the Great Seal depending on the manufacturer but there is no doubt, it is a post-1902 Great Seal of the United States. Some have arrows in the left talon, others the right. This variation appears to match the watch fob found by MUD(SWAT). I dont think the "symbols" have any meaning.

Often cheaply made cast replica coins will have "Greek looking letters" on them but they are not really letters. They are fantasy symbols that mean nothing. I think what you have here on the Great Seal are "greek looking" fantasy symbols.

Great ID of the Fob

Wouldn't it make sense if the "letters" indicate each of the 13 original States.
I can almost convince myself some of those 'marks' are crudely cast English alphabet figures - and there are 13 of them
