Today I detected a field that had been just turned. It was once the training grounds for the 32nd infantry(union). It was an African American company. Also it was a Union camp afterwards. I went there with about 9 other people. We pulled out a lot of 3 ringers. I managed to pull out two coins, a Eagle button, a Confederate button, 1 three ringer, a CW poncho grommet, and a 1850s suspenders clip. My father found a colonial tomback button, a colonial flat button, 2 three ringers (one is pulled), a pistol ball, and a chewed musket ball! One person I hunted with found a braided large cent and 4 three ringers. MY coins were landmarks for me. One was a 1891 Indian Head Penny and the other was a 1943 P War nickel. The IH Cent was my first Indian Head and it also was my second oldest coin. It was sticking out of then ground when I found it. It has great details it has all stripes and a full liberty. It has a really nice green patina. My war nickel was my second silver coin. Thank y'all for looking!
