I have a six year old great grandson that has been hunting points with me for about two years. He has found broken pieces, flakes and a ton of almost rocks. Last week he found the smaller point in the yard. Later he found the longer one on a field trip to a nature trail. The other kids look up at the birds and trees, he looks at the ground. He thinks the long point is a knife or atlatl point.(he's a pro now!) What do you guys think?

He's doing better than I have lately. Way to go kid

I think he’s way ahead of the game those are some nice points probably a small knife on the longer one. Tell him I said congrats and keep at it ..... when he’s older he will have great memories and much more to show than the kids playing video games all day

Yes on all accounts. Tell him congrats from "Tdog" too! Maybe Guilford (6,200 - 5,000 Y.B.P.) and Morrow Mountain (6,800 - 6,000 Y.B.P.) respectively.

That is cool, I have a couple of points found by my great grandfathers.

I hope some day he enjoys finding some with his grandkids talking about finding them with you.

''Way To Go'' young man. :icon_thumleft: I guess he is inflicted with the always looking down syndrome. I have that problem when I go (deer) hunting. When I finally look up the buck is heading into the next coulee.

I had a line of about 30 elk cross in front of me once while looking down...my kid had to point them out to me...no more than 20 yards a head of me.

Nice finds. It's good to see youth getting into the hobby and he is off to a really good start.

Congrats to him I'm still looking for my first one or even a piece of one lol
