i have been trying to get this place for a long time as well as at least 4 other guys I know. We have all met with the same no...Well as luck would have it my dad works for a blacktop company that put a small patch at the end of there driveway with left over blacktop for free. So my dad springs the question on him and the man says I have to ask the comitee so he does and he comes back and says just you to my dad. my dad says my son likes to detect with me and he agress very firm on just us. COOL... So the spot is a old camp from 1930s. Has 9 Cabins on it with various other houses and buildings last use is 10 years ago. Not enough money to reopen. Beautiful place. Broke my heart to see it this way instead of being used. So we start swining. Spent only 2 and a half hours at it. This place is massive. Found 5 Silver roosie dimes 2 wheat cents 2 1940s canadian pennies and a rabies dog tag as well as the normal due dads bottle tops etc. My dad found 1 wheat cent and this really cool book worlds fair still has some pages in it. Looks like it was deliberatly berried it was at the foot of one of the buildings and in a baggie. I know that sounds like BS but I saw it with my own eyes. So we only did about 20% of the place cherry picking. So there is alot more to be done. I will take my camera and take some pics of the place next time. Very happy...O ya and my dad gave me the book it is neat has about 6 pages in it...Very cool.
