Hi guys and gals!
A brand new TH'er here.. got my Ace250 for my (40+too many) birthday and have been visiting this forum for some time now. What a great bunch of folks on here! Went to the city beach for my first time out... here's what I found-
a three inch piece of copper wire
an old rusty nail
4 gum wrappers
one paperclip
one pushpin (who's doing office work at the beach??)
and the biggest and best... the rusty butt end of the old waterline. At least, I hope it was water and not sewer!(No,I didn't dig it all out)
Boy did I feel silly, but it was a blast! Came home with the most expensive office supplies in history!! I read a thread on here about making money MDing, and the way I figure it, with all the time I've spent researching which one to buy, where to hunt, how to do it ethically, and so on... that's all time that I haven't been losing money at the casino, so I'm already miles ahead financially! Looking forward to learning my new machine and being part of this great community. (Also, learning how to put those little smiley faces in!)

Hey Kilika, you did a lot better than I did on my first time out..... I found nothing :'( Welcome to the club and all the best for the future...... Look forward to some great photo's soon.

God bless
Peter

The best is yet to come. Your finding stuff and thats half the battle.
Good Luck and keep digging

I know how you feel. I had a day like you describe and found a lot of old homestead "junk", including a toilet ring and fencing. But, ya gotta pay your dues, just be sure your having fun doing it. I didn't find anything of value today, but I did get a valuable tip from someone and that led to talking to someone who gave us permission for where we will probably hunt tomorrow and I'm excited because its just the kind of site I've had in mind.
