A while back I posted a thread on how flustered I was with the hobby. Well many people on this forum gave many wonderful tips and I also mentioned how I would get with an older gentleman to pick his brain of his knowledge. Well I found out he was born in the town and he is in his mid nineties. Well he owns a museum for the town I live in talking of the history of the mining town in the 1800's. I made an agreement to donate all my clad and I would donate any historical items I find. Well this was his response.
"I understand you want to be successful in this hobby. Well... You are going to go bonkers without research that you can get from the museum and myself. So.. Listen carefully, here (pointing on map) is a town bottle dump. I'm sure you would like some in your collection and the museum would gratefully take some. Find the dump and then come visit me for your next hunt."
I'm stoked to get out and find these relics! From what I understand he always wanted to go do this stuff but he got to old and has a bad leg and back. I'll check in from time to time to share what I find!
