I returned to that pounded park site for a one hour hunt and found some more goodies, just like it was a virgin site. The first was a very small child's, or perhaps a baby ring with a red stone, found at about 7" to 8". I then found the buffalo nickel (1938D) in nice shape, followed by a whole lot of wheat's, some two in a hole. The best dates on the wheat's are: 1927S,1938D and 1930. Then there was a merc (1939D), found about 9" with a lot of iron junk. It had a nice 80 on the meter, but it showed the coin as being much larger because of the iron. Also, I spotted a piece of an earring that is marked 925. The last item found was an aluminum ring that said weather bird shoes, that was on top of the ground. Thanks for looking! HH!
