Got a 10X30 last month for $5. It looked tossed but it was only barely touched. Woman died at age 50 son could not pay the $1600 owed in rent. They gave me 2 weeks to clean it out as no one wanted it and it was packed took 9 days to empty I am still sorting. Once I got into it was obviously a generational locker stuff from her, her parents, her grand parents and great grand parent. Some pictures of the best items. I do spend about $350 at the dump but no problem getting that back. Not pictured was a 14K gold watch and 3 other small pieces of gold

People will bid $50 for a unit with one box in it here, you got a nice one there. :headbang:

Yes the boxes are vinyl records I sold a high end Garrand turntable from the locker for $150 but it was pretty rough shape. Probably about 300 records I normally sell then as a lot on craigslist this looks like a good lot as there is a lot of Rock, Jazz and country not much crap. It was the 3rd stop on a long day the crowd was thin about 20 people. The locker looked tossed but I saw some good things so took a risk but not till they offered 2 weeks to clean out. Normal is 2 days. By the time bidding started only 2 people were still there. The other a Hispanic woman who buys junky lockers all the time but only if they are cheap. I think the size turned her off and she had just bought a 10X20 for $15. The wings are Luxemburg maker marked a rare make, it was a high end tailor in New York. A few years ago they were bringing $300 to $400 but I think the value is down now. The belt is an original civil war belt and buckle, I have never seen the leather intact. Buckle is beat up though still some cool finds. Oh I found about $30 in change as well. Trunk was empty but a cool trunk.

Some people are just luckier than others. Super nice deal you got.

Believe me i have shoveled hundred of pounds or rat dropping in the last year. This was just a fluke for the most part. This is the time of year to buy here. Last year in January I bought a 10X30 for a $1. It was an okay locker locker but nothing like this one. Badges from a convention in 1946 one more neat item.

Pickers live for the flukes! You could probably take what you wanted out of that thing and have someone come empty it out for free with a craigslist ad saying they could have everything but must take all.

Awesome score. Around here you can't touch a packed locker that size for under 500 dollars.

Kind of odd around here when the locker is really big it can go pretty cheap as long as nothing really great is showing. I have seen many sell cheap. A couple years ago they had auctions the Friday before labor day and one guy bought a 10X20 and a 10X30 for $1 each. Both looked bad but he did well. Small lockers like a 5X5 can go nuts cause it is so easy to clean one out. Our dump fees suck here it is $24.25 minimum and that is only 320 pounds goes up from there. That is why I have spent $350 at the dump on this big locker. Hundreds of pounds of magazines, home recorded video tapes dirty clothes and just plain junk furniture like rat chewed chairs dressers the drawers will not even open on, There were two washers and dryers in the big locker neither any good but at least they are sell able as scrap.

You can take hundreds of pounds of magazines to a paper recycler they don't pay much but at least you don't have to pay

We used to have paper recycling drop offs everywhere for mixed paper but they have all gone away.

You must be in Klamath Falls...I see that Klamath Falls Police Department badge. Also, those look like WWII bombardier wings..cool!!

No I am in Seattle area the owner of the locker was from Klamath falls.

Nice score, bet you made your money back real quick! :occasion14:
