so far so good........on the bigger holed one...evroecavator 2.22.
i have not used the smaller holed one....krepish yet....my handle guy is making me 2 new exact size matching handle, so i will be in business soon.
my plan for the evroecavator is this winters digging and so far it is just fine..........i have gotten back to using the 70* angle ok and with the lightness of this scoop, i think it will be a great scoop to use in the dry zone as well.
B U T
i am spoiled since for the last 7 or 8 months i have been using the Proto type scoop from steve and it has a much higher opening and does work much better in the water and with the smaller holes, i do not have to used my sifter when i work in the bay waters.
i did have to make some repairs to this scoop and the fellow used some extra thick S/S and it has added over 1lb. to it.......it is now.....Heavy.......
SO
for the damp sand shallow water i grab the evroecavtor and for the deep water zone i grab the proto type..........life is good.
i still contend that the 90* handle is much nicer for digging in the water........when u pull back on it with target inside, it automatically kinda slides to the back and then u sift it and bingo......I PREFER THE 90* HANDLE STILL.........just my opinion.
more to follow as i use the two scoops from Stavrscoops this upcoming winter.
.
good luck
