NOOOOOO!!!!

You never know what is in the dirt, it may have small amounts of mercury or other bad stuff, and you don't want the fumes of any of that in your house!!!

I usually either spread mine out on plastic tarp and let it dry in the sun, if I'm not in a hurry I will leave it in the panning tub after draining off as much water as possible and let it dry out over a few days time period out of the weather and mix it everyday or so to help speed the process.

You can also use an old cookie sheet and use an old grill outside to rapidly dry the cons, just don't use the pan for anything else, it is now your drying pan, I wouldn't use the grill for anything else but drying cons either, but that's up to you as hot as it gets it will most likely be OK to use for cooking if you clean it well.

If you heat your cons to dry them be sure that the wind is blowing away from you, your house, any pets and your neighbors, just in case there is any bad stuff in the dirt.
