Grape Nuts thermometer

Hey there all, I found this Grape Nuts thermometer at a thrift store and was curious if it was original or some kind of reproduction. I really don't have any clue about this kind of stuff so I generally stay away from it, but it looked neat and was only $3 so I thought I would buy it anyhow. I tried looking around online but didn't come up with much. Any information is much appreciated

It's modern or it's not as old as the ad depicts, probably made in the last 30 years max. I have an exact shaped advertising thermometer with an old Maxwell House coffee ad on it.
