Top item anyones guess? At first glance it resembled a window weight perhaps, but it has no hole for a rope. I think it is too short for a Horseshoe game stake. So my next far-out imaginative guess is a smiths iron bar stock? Next row is a lead item, my pal thought it was a knob for some appliance maybe an automobile. Never saw an appliance with a lead knob tho so no idea myself. Next item is a lead fishing "clamp on the line sinker" at least that one was easy! Then we have a couple of metal buttons. Next is some kind of ladies pin, the cultivator slash harrow has not been kind to it. Have two pieces of it. Hope to find more tomorrow. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunts! CARM

your chunk of iron looks like a sash weight to me, does it look like it might have been broken? That would explain why there's no hole for the rope.

Its not obviously broken at least. Maybe after some cleaning could be more sure but there is no jaggedness showing on the rounded end. I have some of the window weights(sash weight proper name I guess) in the attic from when they changed windows in our house. And if it had a hole or some place to attach a rope i would have thought that was it for sure.

Congratulation!
