Granddaughters first deer

Took both grandkids for a youth hunt weekend and my granddaughter harvested her first deer, a doe at 104 lbs. I won't be able to slip off and hunt by myself anymore (I like it that way). She shot it with a 30-30- Win. that belonged to her great grandfather. Great pictures, and a granddaughter to be proud of. This is a good example of why all states need a youth weekend! Here in Vt., we have youth weekends for waterfowl, deer, and turkey.....and they all seem to be bringing new, and very interested hunter;s into the fold that will only continue the heritage of our forefathers.
