Grand Union Tea Company?

It weighs 3 1/2 pounds - 8 inches long , so I'm pretty sure is a sad iron , but I'm curious about the Tea Company marking . I found it in a bottle dump .I saw a Grand Union Tea Co. Bottle on Ebay . I would appreciate any info on this item , thanks !
