wow, this place is just fantastic! actually the whole northwest Wyoming proper. just so beautiful, the incredible history from the early fur trappers, and the mountain men, the awesome native American tribes, and the pioneer history, then there is the wildlife,bear, both grizzly and black bear, big horn sheep, mountain lion, wolf, badger, wolverine, eagles, etc. the scenery is spectacular. add in the great camping, and the town of Jackson, and it's fabulous ski resorts, and the town of Cody, and all it's offerings, just a great, great place! with Yellowstone national park, to the north, flaming gorge reservoir to the south, perhaps some of the best fishing anywhere!
then add the names of Jim Bridger, John Coulter, kit Carson, Joseph meek, Brigham young, then the great tribes such as, the northern Cheyenne, the Crow, the fearsome Black Feet, the Ute, and Arapahoe, the snake's, the high altitude Pagans, and "sheep eaters". plus outstanding fossil hunting, and native American artifacts, then the Oregon trail, and the pioneer artifacts, the fur trader artifacts. just a fabulous place to spend time! please do yourself a favor and take the family, or yourself, and visit this wonderful American treasure! if not possible, then head out to the library and grab some books and read til your hearts content!
