I'd call it XF45.

We're all just going by the photos. It seems to me that there are just too many marks in the fields for it to be AU. Also the rims aren't real crisp as you would expect from an AU coin considering that the strike looks pretty decent.

Thx for the replies everyone. :icon_thumleft:

And just to clarify, the surface is a uniform chocolate brown, it's never been cleaned while in my possession (40+ years). What appears to be a shinier upper half is an overhead florescent light, with the coin sitting on its edge. I figured it would illuminate the details of the hair and wheat stalks more clearly. Also, the right side of the reverse came out a tad blurry. It's just as crisp as the left side.

No one's said where they see any slight wear, even on the high points.

The cheek and jaw bone have a bit of wear but nothing to define it being an XF or AU. In an Au, you like to see some mint luster, but, if the coin turns brown it's hard to tell an XF from an AU, or even a MS60 with a weak strike. The strike on this coin is better than average and it has some wear, so, it's not uncirculated. The amount of wear and flaws I already mentioned makes me think XF45. Still a very nice coin that would feel at home in most collections.

I see green verdigris on lincoln's shoulder and built up between LIBERTY, unfortunately its details coin IMHO.
