I'm lucky enough to have permissions for several hundred acres on the island of Anglesey in the UK. I've always used Minelabs from the Explorers, through to the E-trac and now my CTX and have found lots of Roman, Medieval and later coins and artefacts. Most of the land I search is pasture with very little rubbish on it so I tend to use open programs and dig everything. The CTX will find silver and bronze to a depth of up to 12" or thereabouts. I'm thinking of buying a GPX 6000 in the hope that it will find deeper silver and bronze targets and also gold of course. I'd appreciate people's views on this.
Thanks
