Here she is boys and girls, she's 7/8" inches across and is a pressed button of somekind. She sure is dirty, and caked, but the back has an attached loop the back has no writing that I can see, but...a big but...she has a WREATH in the center about 1/2" across. Now the hard part, the front looks like it has horizontal lines running full length of the button, covering the entire button, along with some lettering in two rows...the lettering looks to be 1/4" high...just can't make it out. the button is copper, how in the world am i gonna clean this one? Found it on a site along with some gold treble gilt " Robinson / Blackinton Co. backs measuring 3/4" across. Help out with this one. I hope the pics load up ok. Thanks ...Preacher

Mid 19th century (once gilt) patterned button. Not sure cleaning will help this one. Any cleaning is likely to take off the detail. But its so far gone if you want to clean it & possibly ruin it, it doesn't matter.

I see dots or diamonds... not stars.

They are layed out in a grid pattern with lines connecting them. I also the background lines... very common.

I've seen that wreath as a back mark before but am not finding anything right now on it.

You have a civilian decorative button IMO. Very cool. No idea on age...
