Hello all.

Saturday I met up with wv1978 and we hunted this beautiful home for about 5 hours. It was built in the early 1800's and was pretty much right in the middle of a CW battle. The white spots on the chimney are where they patched damage from bullets/shrapnel. It's probably been detected hundreds of times, but it was still an honor to get to hunt it.

There aren't a lot of solid signals left, but we managed to pull a few keepers. My best find was a CW 3 ringer.

I also found my first railroad lead seal. I think it has S.R. on the other side.

This Pullman Porter button got me good. My eyes aren't great and I just knew I had found a block I cuff button. :laughing7: Still kind cool though.

This utensil was a bazinga as well. I believed it was silver until I got home and examined it closer and found it's just plated. Bummer.

The rest of the finds were a couple of flat buttons, possibly 2 friction primers and an old rim fire case.

Even though we didn't find a ton, it was still fun to get to detect a home like this.

Still looks like a good hunt. I'd take that 3 ringer and Pullman button any day.
