Got to go to a new site today.

Got the ok to go look at a place that has not been MD. Couldn't find the spot i was looking for awhile and the when i started to get close to were it was and I had to go, but going back. Had to leave early but now know were to start next time, this place was full of square nails!

Found this big boy! Dont know if its civil war time but the area i'm in was full of union troops

The item in the right corner of the picture.....any ideas.


Then there's this thing. Its a little smaller round as a dime, and about a half inch long. Copper.

Can't see the other side but pretty sure its a leather rivet (although it sounds a little big)
