Last Wed, I found the larger peice. Yesterday, I found the broken point of it.
Now, I have it complete. It fits perfectly! YAY!!
I might glue it back together
This is the first point I've ever found.

That is SWEET! Almost NEVER happens!

I'm trying to imagine what the chances are of that happening ? maybe slim and none ,( and slim left town) Excellent !

Its a killer piece too."Awesome" you found the other piece,Like BuckleBoy said, doesn't happen often, sweet you can restore it to it entirety now.Great save:icon_thumleft:

Great eye on finding the other other piece! I've never found the broken piece to any point, always thought what's the point it's gone.

easily lost and hardly ever found, great save

Yeah, I wasn't even sure it WAS the point...
but, I went to same spot, and it was within 2 ft of the place I found the big part.
I knew of the break on the big part, and saw the break on the point... just thought it has the same look...
I am taking it to see! I was soooo happy to see the fit!! I myself couldn't believe I actually found it.
This area is new to me for finding arrow heads. I took a friend down there to find fossils... I find all the fossils, and he's a pro at finding arrow heads... well, he found 2 broken parts of arrow heads same area.
That's why we went down there again last Wed... with my MD too, and did some digging.
Funny thing is... I found the big peice without digging. It was lying on top of the soil.
I sent him email pics of the 2 and he said he was jealous I didn't invite him!! LOL
These are what my friend found, same area... needless to say, I will continue to look for points!

Nice large point! And to find both pieces! Great!
Continued good luck!

That is just about un-heard of. I have walked the fields for 25 years and have never found the missing piece of a broken artifact. that is a sweet piece also. Congrats!! I did however find all 3 pieces of one in a hole chasing what I thought might be an indian penny, turns out it was a zincoln but I ended up with a really cool little point.

That's incredible.. To think of the hands that made that so many many years ago.

That is pretty cool. Looks like one may have been above ground and the other buried at one point because of the color.

Something... this flint has several colors in it. That is one reason I wasnt so sure... but the fit is unmistakeable...
the backside has dark blotches in it too.

Before you grab the glue , I had a thought - what makes it different from other's points is the incredible find of the two separate parts. So maybe frame them with a space between them instead of glueing them back together - to celebrate their separateness - because THAT'S the cool part. Would make a great display. Just a thought. Congrats!

Holy cow that like never happens! Nice piece.

You are so right!
I just may do that!
Thanks for the idea, Tigger!

Great find times two! Wishing you continued success in 2015.
