Hunted hard for the past two days and put about 250 miles on my truck. First place was a hillside below some big buck houses in Peoria. It looks like it is a popular spot for the King Cobra crowd. Tons of trash and cinders everywhere. I got 2 clad coins and 20 pounds of non-ferrous junk >:( Next stop was a lot where the house had been torn down. I worked the front yard area and the parking strip here. Got quite a bit of clad ,2 wheats and a 43D Merc ;D Last spot for the day was a large park that I have found some goodies at in the past but you have to work for them. Only found clad and a small caliber bullet there ???
Thurs, drove to a farm house about 70 miles West of my home. It is a Century farm and had a lot of ground to hunt. I spent 2-3 hours hunting and had 9 wheats(1911-oldest). I was getting tired and was going to finish an area along the lane and call it quits for the day. Within 2 feet of each other I found 2 1941 Mercs, one a Plain and the other an S :icon_sunny: That was an awesome way to finish the hunt! HH
