I finally got a chance to do a little diggin. My wife and I went to my great grandson's 3rd birthday party in Cameron Mo. The party was held at the city park, which is only a block from the site we dubbed "the popcorn patch" because that is what it sounds like when you detect. This site is a 2 sq. block area that was once the home of the Westlyn Collage. The buildings burned in the early 1900,s and it has been just an open park area. There is tons of iron in the ground so detecting is really tough. If you hunt slow and keep the coil an inch or two from the ground you can pick out some good signals(sometimes) I had pretty good luck this time and got 4 3/4 silver and an Indian, 1- v nic. and a Buff. The Walker and the Merc. were in the same hole. Thanks for looking.
