Went to see my accountant Friday. He knows I CRH and we have talked about silver before. He even bought a bag of junk quarters ($1000 worth) because of my thoughts on silver. And he got them at $10,500, which is a GREAT price! (10.5X face!!)

Anyway, he was at a garage sale that was in the parking lot at his office. The whole area had people come and set up their tables and sell things. He bought a few Mexican coins for $5 totla. I think they are fake, but they are cool coins. And they LOOK real. they are worn down, have scratches and such, and who knows - might be real ones that someone just wanted to get rid of.
They are all about the size of half dollars or a little larger.

they are:

Ano De Carranza 1859 - 1959 (Some sort of commemerative coin) Back says cinco pesos 18.055 G Ley .720

Juegos De LA XIX OlimpiadaMexico 1968. (Also commenerative) 25 pesos Ley 0.720

(2) - Cinco Pesos 1947 30 gramos ley 0.900

Republica mexicana "Un Peso 9027" 1872 copr (copy in english, so I know this one IS a replica)

Republica Mexicana "8R.Z.1882.J.S.10D.20G." whatever that means!

Estados Unidos Mexicanos cinco pesos 1951 27 7/9 G Ley 0.720

Estados Unidos Mexicanos Un Peso 1910

So only one SAYS it is a copy, and the rest LOOK real, but I just don't think so. they are not as heavy as I thought they would be if they were mostly silver. But I'll check into it, and either way, they were given to me as a GIFT by him, just because I CRH. That makes them cool no matter what! :-)

Pics coming IF I can figure how to downsize so they actually get posted! Sorry.

no all those are good! at least the ones that are real,
ley means fine so .720 is 72% pure silver, good stuff.
Mexican silver was the world standard for almost 300 years.

Republica Mexicana "8R.Z.1882.J.S.10D.20G." whatever that means What this is is a silver dollar, same weight and close to fineness. the old saving 2 bits, 8 bits was a dollar, you sir, have a dollar.
8 reales, 1882, Date made, JS=the assayer, Z= zacatas Mint.
A good coin.
I would be a buyer if you wish to sell or trade silver for silver, I collect mexican.

Whatever program you use to look at pics hit EDIT then look for STRETCH & SKEW ater that it is easy, just be sure to save them when close program so that they will remain small[er] when you go to get them to load in TNet.
