I decided last night to get up early and go to Misson Beach here in San Diego. I was so wound up and ready to go that I left and arrived at 4 am the waves were low and the wind was down. The machine that cleans the sand was all ready out and running. I hunted for 2 hours and only found 2 horse shoes a few tabs and a bottle cap. Not even one penny. I thought I was just having a bad day then met a guy who was using an explorer II and he had only found 1 quarter and a penny. I think several td'ers were out last night and cleaned the beach out pretty good. Oh well it was still a great time to be out and hunt. I will go again after the holiday is over. Sorry no pics of the trash or horse shoes. Gave the shoes away and threw away the trash.

What's that thing about putting up horseshoes for good luck? :P

Maybe you should have kept the shoes and hung them over the place you store your detector.

;D

Sorry you were zipped. Better luck next time.

At least you had a nice beach walk.

Just think if you guys had got there before the guy with the>>>>DFX ;D ;D ;D

thadious...We all have days like that. My trip to Myrtle Beach was about the same..I did manage a little clad but nothing to hoot and holler about. HH

As SC_Hunter said: "We all have days like that."

I recently got permission to hunt an old home site and so far I've pulled two memorial cents, a crushed sleigh bell and a part off a kerosene lamp. That's in two hours of sweeping.

What is it Mel Fisher used to say every morning when he got up? "Today's the day!" Or something like that.
