The maker clearly struggled with this piece of Quartz. Due to the Stack (which he finally gave up on), the point is oddly concave on one side of the blade.

Man-o-man! Nice quartz! So hard to work. I have (or had- I gave away a bunch) a number of quartz pieces from the mid-Atlantic region. Newer mostly- from when folks were settling in more and trading less.

Thank you.
Nearly half of my surface finds are made of Quartz. Many of high quality and well made. But the majority are clunky and thick.

That’s a beautiful frame. Very comparable to the types we find on the Northeastern coast.

I can’t judge the size very well, but is the rose Quartz one (second to the bottom left) an Adena? That’s a beauty!
