Great saves Rebel, the '65 IH cleaned up beautifully too! :o

In 2021, USA Coin Book estimated the value of an 1865 Indian Head Penny to be worth $16 in Average Condition and could be worth $100 to $165 or more in Uncirculated Mint Condition. Proof Coins can be worth $495 or more.

Thanks everyone! I've been hitting this site for years now. It's a tough site as there is no foundation unless it was filled in way in the past as now it's just a build-up of dirt. You can only hit this site in the fall thru early spring as it's loaded with barberry.

I've found colonial items but mostly 1800's. The old abandoned New Haven & Derby RR passes right by this location.

It was cool when I got there but as the sun came up, I was down to a T Shirt.
