Yep, one little 1944 wheatie! Wish I had more, but that's all the earth gave up to me this morning. I revisted the victorian home that I hit up last summer where I found the 1817 large cent at with my cheap Bounty, but now I'm up a bit on the scale with a Garette.
Lot's of clad but at least I got a wheatie out of it! ;D

Going to Pennsylvania this afternoon and Easter Day will have a few hours I hope to hit up one field next to a still existing grange hall that used to have a one room school house on it. The school house has been gone about 40 yrs so hopefully I'll do well.

Here's this morning's lonely wheatie!

Hey, I thought you found something great... Oh well, Wheats as good as any other other old coin. Just wait when you pull that 1955 Dubble Die or maybe a 1909 S V.D.B. You should go back to that site could be more old finds maybe some silver.

Keep @ it and HH!!

Congrats! I love digging wheats.

Watch those dates...some of these babies ain't cheap.

The 1944 D over S starts at about $70.

The 1914 D $200

and of course the 1922 worth about $500 in worn condition.

Lots of wheats are worth far more than face value.

I've still got a large can of wheats I've never even checked the dates on yet. I'd best get at them. Ya never know.

Nice!! Now just hurry up and find another so it won't be lonely. You wouldn't want to be the cause of a lonely wheat epidemic. Would you? HH

Looks like about what I came up with this weekend! Better than nothing!
