I tried the trick to increase sensitivity yesterday and it works great, there are posts and you tube videos about it. I was digging a deep target that ended up at around 9 inches down, when I was down about 6-7 inches there was no sign of metal in the hole with my pinpointer. I placed a nickel under my thumb and against the side of the pointer, and slowly slid it forward toward the business end until it started sounding off, then moved it back until it stopped (this distance is key) close as possible without it beeping, I put it back in the hole and got a signal so I knew there was a target, just another trick in the bag that will benifit anyone who uses one. Check out a video for clarification if needed, and good luck.
