Friday I got a bicentennial clad proof and was pretty happy because I haven't found one yet.

Yesterday I got a box and saw a silver rim while opening a roll. I pulled it out expecting the typical Kennedy and saw the back of the coin first and was a bit surprised. Then it clicked. A proof!

Flipped it over and sure enough there was the S.

Total take from yesterdays box was 3-40%ers, 1-bicentennial proof(40%?), 1-1951-d Franklin and 1-1989 50 pence coin.

Not a bad day at all...

Congrats on a nice find. You are right that it is 40% silver. Also, it looks like you found the business strike version instead of the proof version.

I don't care what version it is as long as it SILVER lol. It's going to get sold for melt at some point.

No problem, I just didn't know if you knew that it really wasn't a proof that's all. Also, I think you could trade that coin for better than melt to people trying to complete their sets.

Nice finds, I haven't found either one of those yet.

Good call on the trade. I prefer to help people out that need the coin rather than sell it for melt.

If anyone needs it for their collection feel free to shoot me an offer.

I also have a great looking 1987-d I'd be willing to part with if someone needs it.

Sean.
I picked up 5 CWR today at a bank near my dump bank.
Out of those 5 rolls I got

A 1976 bicentennial S Clad proof
Then I got a 1976 S Business strike - 40 % silver in great condition
2 firsts for me..

Also got 17 other clad S proofs from 1978 thru 1992.
Must have been someones collection. No scratches or fingerprints.
Also got 4 dirty 40 % ers.
I saw your pictures above. They look exactly like the 2 Bicentennials I got today.
Nice pictures.
I was pleased with my finds.. HH

It was nice to see a silver S. I get clad proofs all the time. I hope to see more silver proofs soon lol.
