Woke up early this morning and quietly slithered out the house. I took the Garrett Camo Cousins and went to hunt a snow hill, which I never have hunted before. I managed a lot of one dollar coins from this site. After supper, I headed for a place close to home and got a little over 4 bucks, some charms and my first 2008 ring, a nice Celtic style stamped .925.

Here's my goodies, all from this evening. Half the hunt was in the dark, but the coins stand out against the white snow.

I think I'm catching on now John, you find this nice stuff in the snow and not in frozen ground. :-[
See this is how extreme cold affects some of us, slows down the brain cells. :o ::)

Ok, now I could see putting long johns + winter coat+ jacket + boats+ detector gear + snow hill= lots of goodies as you find
Wow, thanks John for being patient with people like me. ;D

I guess my couple more questions would be, to what Max. sub-zero temp. would be your limit for endurance? and what's the best times to go out on the snow hills?

God bless you John,

Cool...and I do mean Cool!

Here in sunny northern Michigan it's been running in the 40's with more than enough rain. The ground has already thawed out in some spots. And wouldn't you know it, all my best machines are either in the mail or on the repair bench!

Nice ring and coins.

I haven't found a dollar coin since Hector was a pup.

I have got to try detecting the ski mountain in my area. Looks pretty profitable! Nice silver ring and coin total! Take care!
