Did you dig it and how deep? It looks repo but I could be wrong. Just ask my wife!

Welcome to the T-NET.
Did you clean it up,because the brass shines like a modern piece.I found a Bayonet Scabbard close to a battlefield in Va.
I just about fell over dead,until I realized that it wouldn't be in that good of shape if it has been there for 145 years.Mine
was a repo from a reenactment held a few years ago.
But I hope that you find out that yours is real.Congrats
