I majorly screwed up on this, because I completely forgot to take a before pic of the stone I had found. Super bummed about that! But, I'm ecstatic about how it turned out! I had first taken it up to the mining museum here, and every one was sure it was a topaz, including me! It even tested out at an 8 for hardness! But after the refraction test, it was determined to be a very hard piece of quartz! The two geologist's decided on citrine! 18 carats! Thanks for looking!!!!
