going to doc tommorow to find out when i go under the knife
so went out again - went back to where i found halves last week
my GF pulled me out of the water for an appointment and
felt there might be some more there...I was right
was hoping for gold but not to be
one of the first finds was old lipstick case which was down like a foot and a half
then got a silver quarter...then some wheats... small silver band...then caked silver Merc
little while later in area near where I got the 2 brownish silver halfs last week
got deep brownish silver quarter- was working the shallower water and got faint signal and
was surprised with another silver half
bout an hour after i was in - another hunter showed up
he hit the left side and i was hunting right which holds more older finds
after a couple hrs he left and I moved down to search for fresh drops
I got a loud hit and pulled a fresh drop 925 celtic ring he some how missed - when
i looked under i could see a scoop hole bout 2ft away
was swinging towards knee deep (I use extra long Anderson rod ) - got another
surface hit - bent over and stuck my face in and saw glint of gold poking out of sand
got excited - thought i had a gold band...Not. Gold plated designer ring - stamped made in France
bet it wasnt cheap but not gold
I also pulled some older newer coins others had missed - sand on left side is soft and deeper
than that on the right - that brought sand in in that area yrs ago and very rare to getting any of real age
there (years ago it looked like a boat came in close and blew out a small area with prop and I got old gold and
100 yr old coins but that was like 15yrs ago)
Knowing the history of a beach can bee very important sometimes...I would saw 99% of hunters here dont know its history
Some that do - probably heard it from me
