Got Compadre today!

Well UPS showed up a day early for a change! I got the new Compadre today, didn't have much time to play with it, as my wife and I were going out to dinner for our anniversary. One thing I did try though, I have a small piece of lead shot that weighs 2 grains. In air testing, it has a strong signal out to 1.5 to 2 inches in all metal. I know air tests don't mean much compared to in ground tests, but I was impressed that it would hit on something so small even in the air! Hoping to give it's maiden voyage tomorrow at a local park. I think I may have missed alot with my F2. So far I am impressed with the Compadre. Swinging it in my backyard for a few seconds I got some strong signals. I have already been through it with the F2 and I though I had cleaned it out!

Hello atomicscott and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, your going to like the Compadre it was my first detector 4 years ago! Probally will never sell it,keep the disc. down if you can,then you can turn it up when you get a good 4-way signal?Does your wife detect with you or is she your digger?lol hh : p.s. i am looking for a digger/wife!

Still have my Compadre too!

If you set your discrimination no higher than IRON, you will find smaller gold if its in the ground, just be ready to dig a lot foil and junk in the process.

You have a great detector there. Enjoy it.

Hahaha! Sometimes the wife comes out with me and digs. She tends to get bored after a couple hours though. Once I find her a nice gold ring I'm hoping she get's more motivated! I'm heading out to the park in a couple hours, it's always hit pretty heavy so we will see how the Lil Compadre does!
