Got out with my buddy Tim today and hit some colonial farm fields that were recently cut. First great signal turns out to be a Lincoln Memorial penny ! Then a nice nickel signal that I hoped would be a Shield nickel, but no, it was a modern Jefferson nickel ! Tim dug a 1901 V Nickel and then we moved to another field. While there, Tim dug a very deep copper with his Deus which turned out to be a crusty 1800 large cent. Finally, I get another decent, shallow hit and out of the plug falls what looks to be a 1750 King George II Copper. So at least we both got a coin that was 200+ years old !

That would make my day for sure

Congratulations on a great day! Very few places in my state where a coin that old is possible.

Glad you both got old coins.

Good stuff man!

Nice KG 2! You get any pics of the v nickel and largie?

That coin deserves another 50+ yrs added onto the 200. Congrats on the old copper, would make anyone smile digging that one up.
