Nice hunt digger! Awesome going. Too bad that bracelet was hit with the mower, that was a nice one. Well silver added to the pile at least.
For sure!! Thanks!!

I'm curious how far away was the other piece of the bracelet when you found it. Did you find the 1st piece & then get your hunt on for the other piece. Thanks.
Actually, not thinking, when I pulled it out, it was still attached. Like a dumby, I bent it to see the Sterling stamp and it broke .

Thanks for the info!!! That’s neat!!
Those are some great finds Digger. Well done on the bracelet. Shame it broke but if the mower hit it, it was probably only ever going to be scrap anyway.

I agree finding the penny is neat. I have a different perspective on the practice of making them. It costs almost $0.03 to make one penny worth $0.01. Buddy there is taking $70, 000 worth of pennies which cost nearly $210, 000 for the US government to produce, chopping out a hunk of the copper and potentially making it unusable. I wouldn’t take if I owned a shop, “In God we trust” or not. Owning a machine shop, what do you suppose he does with the stamp out? I’d bet it gets put into a copper recycling bin and sold off. Does he turn a profit? Probably not based on the article but I bet it helps defray costs of doing this with US tax payers paying that (full disclosure: I’m not a U.S. tax payer, however, I’d be ticked off if someone did that here).

Very cool man…very cool!
I think it’s about time for that silver pirate ship. Love that cross wheat penny.
Thanks!! The cross Penny is just a copper Penny. Still Cool!!

I understand Your side too!! Although a Cool idea, there’s always a trickle down effect of what it causes or starts. I have a unique Penny now!
