thanks for resizing and the i.d. i was told it was a navy button im still kinda new at this ive only been diggin for about 3 yrs still learning
 

Had the resizing issue myself, but one of the members posted an easy solution in the "general" discussion today that makes it easy. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,375072.0.html

I'm partial to Marine Corps buttons as I served from 1973 - 2003. I have found some early ones too. They are very difficult to date just by face, so the button back mark is how to find out how old it is.

Any chance of getting a pic of the back in Macro (macro mode will put closer shots in focus better) or precisely list the letters from the back of the button as they appear?
