I wasn't supposed to go detecting today. Then around 10am this morning, the day's plan had changed, and I found myself with a window of around 5 hours, so I packed the car and drove to the beach I took along my wetsuit, as I decided today was the day to get into the water
The tide was still pretty high when I started, so I just waded out about knee to waist deep with my hip-mounted Excalibur with WOT coil.
Here are the results of about 2.5 hours - mostly in the water:
I ended up with three rings. The "Good", the "Bad", and the "Ugly".
The "Good" is a small 14K ring with a nugget look to it:
The "Bad" is actually not so bad, as it is a piece of 10K gold. But then again, it is pretty bad, as there is a piece of the band missing, and the center stone is gone. The two side stones are CZ's or some other non-diamond substance:
The "Ugly" is a junker, black and corroded, so no pics.
All in all, it was a beautiful day for a water hunt, and I came home with a little gold in my pouch
Happy Hunting,
Jim
