Now that is odd! Looks like some sort of bracket (DUH!) but for what, I have no idea.

Do you suppose that was deliberately bent that way or is the bend a product of the thing giving way when it shouldn't have?

Honest being as its ornate design and thickness I think a plow did it think it was straight like the top judging by the bend

Thinking maybe some sort of plow bracket or a wheel weight

I'm thinking it might be from an Inspectors Railroad Track gauge...here are some similar ones....

I think it is bent, if it was done purposely, it would be a nicer bend :icon_thumleft:

Whoa.. this will keep yah :icon_scratch: your head for awhile... part of a wagon/old old car, railroad track gauge, part too this, part too that. hehe. That is why when i dig something like this i throw it next to a tree so I dont go home and look at it for 2 hours trying to guess... But hey i'm glad your into wanting to ID it, hope you can, still interesting!! :occasion14:
