We live in a historic Victorian Village on the California Northern Coast that has an annual city-wide garage sale.
Generally we host a sale and don't get the opportunity to visit our neighbors sales.
This year we took a break and toured the village and stopped here and there and my wife found a rather tarnished salt shaker and pepper mill set at half price...$8.00...
Later we cleaned them up and found that they were made by Gorham Silver...no scratches or blemishes...look like they were never used...and after some searching and found an identical set on Ebay for $325.00...made around 1950...(so they are worth at least between $8.00 and $325.00)
Think I'll keep them...
and wife too..
