I found several sites on the east coast of mexico that show ancient circles carved into the earth. You can spot them easily at 17,000 ft. Drop down to about 5000 ft for a great view of these sites. They are huge.

Start south of Tampico and go to the 3 islands. Isla De Lobos. Blanqullia, Medio.

Fly due west to the mainland. Then go south and keep the beach in view on the right of your screen. I counted 5 sites with many very large circles. As you go south you come to an inlet and on the south side of the inlet is the biggest site i found.

Some circles are faded out because of farming over them. You can even see crops growing on some circles.

Approx. 21 north 98 west. I tracked the path east and it actually goes straight to egypt.

Has anyone ever heard of this place or who the builders might have been ?

I checked again and there is another site even further south. Incredible that you can see them at 17,000 ft. as you fly over.

Anybody know what these are and who built them ?

These were taken at just over 4000 feet.

I counted almost 100 of these circles scattered around the area up and down the coast. Some are very eroded and appear to pre-date any modern irrigation methods. Some sites have no roads going to them at all. Most are near the beach. A few are located near salt water lagoons.

I'm thinking they might be cisterns for collecting rain water.

Interesting. It may warrant further investigation, if they can be proven to be older than 75 years. I doubt seriously that the fact it is on the same latitude as Egypt has any relevance at all, however.
