Good Will no.3 fireman's Metal to be returned and put in a Fire House Museum.
I did a post yesterday with a item that people went back and forth over watch fob or fireman's metal. Well I did some more research and It was found to be a fireman's metal with only one other know to exist. After making a visit to the fireman's museum today and speaking with the fire chief we found one just like it on display. I told him my idea of having it put in a shadow box and donating it the museum and needless to say he was blow away at the idea.
The history of the metal is still up in the air. What we do believe at this point is it was given to a retired firefighter who was offered to come back to the firehouse as a guest for special events. I will update if and when I find more info about this metal. It is a good chance the local paper might do a story on the return and shed some positive light on the hobby of metal detecting.
Below is the link to the museum it will be going to for many people to look at and enjoy for years to come.
