I didn't expect much yesterday since I had a late start (didn't get out till 11:45) but boy am I glad I decided to go out to the sales anyway! I saw a listing for a estate sale in a close by trailer park that was only like 5 min away and the best part was it didn't seem to be company run which is always a plus for me. Naturally, I went to check that one out first. I have my best luck at private run estate sales and it was proved true today! I found a cuff-link box that was full of all sorts of pins and links and bits and pieces and the first thing I picked up from it happened to be a 14k earring! The lady running the sale was right there so I asked how much and she said $.50....bargain mode engaged! I could tell there would be more goodies in the mix so I offered $5 for the whole box of stuff and she seemed happy to get rid of it. Looking through the rest of the trailer was just as fun too, she had silver all over the place and pretty much everything was already pre-priced for $1. I couldn't believe it! I don't know how people missed this sale maybe because it was in a trailer park or something but it certainty made my day :)

Here's the box of goodies I bought for $5.

All the sterling that from the box, (except the spoon which was from the kitchen at the same sale) total weight 54g

All this is 14k gold except the service pin in the middle which is a heavy 3.7g of 10k. Those little earring backings add up if you save them up and they are all stamped 14k.

The box came with two Swiss made antique watches that actually still wind and work. Though I don't know much about them I don't think they are solid gold
On the left: Bucherer with inside saying ("KJ" Plaque or G. 20 Microns")
On the Right: Bucherer with inside saying ("KJ" Lunette plaque or G. 10 Microns. Fond Acier Inoy")

I'm guessing 20 microns means the thickness of gold plating if anyone knows for sure let me know :)

I got all three of these for $1 each! They are weighted but only on the bottom, theres no glass or liner in the shakers which is nice.
The shakers are 70g each and I expect about 35-50g each after weight removal.
The tray is 306 grams and I'm hoping for around 150-200g after weight removal. It is pretty nice though I might try and sell it as a piece. It's the "Spring Glory" pattern from International Silver

BONUS UPDATE: I just found this sterling brush for $3 this morning. Its missing half the bristles and the silver part is beat up and came off really easily so this might be scrapped (44g). So far its been a pretty good weekend :)
