Hello all,
It poured on us last night and we were under Tornado watch, had high winds and a lot of trees got blown down. The soil was nice to dig in, was easy to get down to 6” and grab some coins. I went out for 3-3.5hrs this morning and got 17, yes 17 wheats and 0 silver coins!! Was kinda frustrating, I was at the exact same spot I found 3 silver dimes late last week. Luckily, a shallow 11-41 ended up being a chunky little silver cross earring with turquoise, weighs 2.67g and marked 925 on the back. The top 10 wheats in the pic are 1940-1958. Bottom 7 include: 19,21,27,28,30,34,37. Hope you all can get out! I’ve got the rest of this week off so I’ll be back at it! Unfortunately, I need to slap the stock coil back on my E-Trac, at least 7-8 of the wheats were down far enough to make the numbers jumpy but I always dig by the tone. Also, got two feet of copper pipe plus another several feet of heavy copper wire and as always I dig a ton of pull tabs and some nickels as well but oldest was 1963. I think it’s been several years since I’ve found a war nickel and I want one bad!
