Brings back memories of when I was down there in 1992. We were working "Emerald City" on the main ballast pile. At one point Andy Matroci came aboard our vessel for a few days as a diver. He told us the story of finding the mother lode. He said in addition to the 4' reef of silver bars there were chests of siver coins as far as the eye could see!

Here is a pic of us on Capt Kane's boat the Dauntless. That's me on the left, the legendary Diver Doug, Capt. Kane Fisher and our pilot Steve Young. We flew down from St. Pete on his plane. Behind Kane's head you can see the 55 gal. plastic drum that held the end of the airlift dredge. The guy to the right of Steve is diver Robbie working the sifting screens.
