The wife and I went to a warehouse sale today. We picked up a bunch of different stuff. First, here is most of what my wife picked up for $30:

A bunch of Pyrex baking pans, bowls, etc.

A still sealed large bottle of Crown Royal. Sticker says this sold for over $37. I love this stuff.

I picked up all of the following:

A Canon camera with 2 lenses. This is a film camera but it is late model as the lenses have auto-focus ability. I hope they fit the new digital cameras. I paid $15 for it. The guy also had a Minolta film camera but he didn't want to part with that.

I picked up the Buck knife, calipers, BBQ sets, Stanley fish cleaning knife set, and the SK tool set for $40. I didn't realize two of the BBQ sets were missing the tongs! The knife and SK tool set should bring about $50 each.

Here is the mystery... On the way home, we stopped by the flea market and I bought the tea set below for $10. It looks old. I'm thinking English made, maybe 19th century, but I can't identify the mark on the bottom. Does anybody recognize that crossed arrow mark?

The lenses will work on a Canon DSLR. What kind of perfume is that?

How the heck do I get rid of the extra picture on the bottom?!

I tried that but I couldn't find the delete button.

I forgot to mention the perfume. My wife found that at the flea market. It is one of her favorites, Youth Dew. She paid a buck for it.

If you click on "manage attachments", a window should open up with a list of the attachments. Then just click on remove.

These look new enough to fit, but check the model numbers/type of mount before trying to attach to a DSLR. Canon legacy lenses are not always compatible with current models. Sometimes it is possible to make them work with an adapter (but you lose metering ability and autofocus), sometimes it is not possible to adapt them due to the rear element being designed to sit further back into the camera (not a problem with film, but the mirror and sensors in DSLRs tend to be closer to the lens attachment point), and sometimes, if they are very new, they work. Check the type of lens and compatibility before trying to use with a DSLR so you don't crack the mirror trying to fit it in. Almost learned about this the hard way.

Pictured is a Rebel G, so it used a Canon EF lens. The Canon DSLRs can use either an EF or EF-S lens.

Couldn't make out the camera body on my mobile, but the EF lenses will work. Good score.

Thanks, Gib, but it doesn't work that way for me. When I click on the Manage Attachments button, I get a new browser window that looks like this:

I thought perhaps the problem was with my browser (I usually use Mozilla Firefox) so I switched over to Internet Explorer and tried it again. Nope... same thing. Maybe this is an artifact of my operating system (I am using Windows XP). I thought there must be a way to delete an image through the window shown above but, if there is, I can't find it.

Thanks for the info about the Canon lenses, guys. The camera is a Canon EOS Rebel G. My daughter is bringing her Canon over tonight so we will check it out. BTW, both lenses have a switch for manual or auto focus mode. Her camera came with a 18-55mm lens. She has been looking to get some other lenses for it. One lens is a 35-80mm and the other is an 80-200mm so she is very excited about these.

One other tidbit about the camera. It was in a case and one of the pockets had paperwork. In addition to the manual for this camera, there was a manual for an early Canon digital camera:

This little item will probably sell on ebay for about $10 so I will probably get most of my money back on this manual alone! All things considered, the camera looks like a very nice pick.

The crossed arrow mark is Harker Pottery Co.
I'm not sure this is Harker. All the Harker logos I have seen are a bow & arrow, not crossed arrows. Perhaps they used crossed arrows earlier in their life but I haven't seen any. Perhaps more importantly, on the tea set is the word "PORCELAINE" - with an "E" at the end. I have seen Harker pieces with the word "porcelain" on them but no ending "e". Harker is an American company. That ending "e" suggests Europe to me.

I just went through this on a piece last weekend. Mine ended up being Arnart which is a Japanese company.

I posted the tea set pics over in the What Is It? forum and somebody pointed me to a web site of porcelain makers marks. This set appears to be Arnart as mkulltra surmised. From the writeup on the web page, it appears my set was made somewhere between 1953 and 1957. I checked out Arnart items on ebay. There are a lot of small individual pieces listed. These don't seem to sell very well. There were a few sets of cups or plates. These sets sold but not for big money - maybe around $30 or so. I didn't see any complete tea sets. I'm not sure mine is truly "complete". I suspect there was once a sugar bowl in addition to the creamer. Anyway... I'm guessing this set will bring about $50, maybe more. It is quite pretty and in very good condition so I think somebody will like it.

Sorry, I guess I should have read your last post versus hitting "restore saved content" on the message I typed yesterday but didn't post.
