I am sorry if this is the wrong forum as the coin forum is for iding mainly.

I went to a coin shop (usually expensive) and saw a set of old Soviet coins. I thought that it will be expensive. The person took a Krause book and told me the price is $40 (he used junk silver value). I payed for it and found out at home that the set is worth $120. :headbang: The set was not any original packaging, but the coins were mostly XF, one UNC, and one VF. The set consisted of a 10 kopecks, 15 kopecks, 20 kopecks, 50 kopecks, and 1 rouble coins. The dates were between 1924 and 1929.

Good score, being at the right place at the right time pays off sometimes. Just recently I went to the coin store and noticed a 1823 large cent which is the key date for that series. The worker told me he had a guy wanting to buy it but he didn't know how much the store wanted for it and told him to come back. Well long story short he ended up selling it to me the same price as the common dates large cents :laughing7: Post some pics of the coins I would love to see them.
