Good site for PM and other financial news links

You've got to find your own answers Charlie, you can't trust any newsletter writers or online pundits to be correct. It is always human nature to want to find someone to tell you what is going to happen in the markets, but nobody really knows for sure and you never really know who is financially biased, etc.

When I started buying gold/silver a few years ago I believed in my gut 100% it was going up and turned out to be correct. What I see today going on makes me even more sure that "someday" gold/silver/platinum, etc, will be much higher than now.

The best way to try to predict what is going to happen in the future is to look at things going on now that cannot be disputed, in other words things that are factual and not opinion. For example, the situation in Europe with the euro, the economy here, US debt rising, etc. I don't think any optimist can honestly say things are going to improve here anytime soon with a straight face. Thus, there is a great likelihood further QE stimulus will be needed at some point in the future to prevent a depression, and that is very PM positive in that it is inflationary. The current Fed has stated over and over it will do whatever it takes to prevent a depression, and what that means is more liquidity at least in the intermediate term. That might just be stalling the inevitable result, but in my opinion I think they will do that. Sort of like giving a heroin addict more and more drugs to prevent the eventual crash and withdrawal symptoms that are sure to happen one day.

I do believe that there could be a big stock drop soon that will adversely affect the PMs for short time. But at some point the big (smart) money will be looking for a place to go and in this PM bull market cycle we have not yet had the real parabolic stage where everyone you know is talking about buying gold/silver, much like people were doing with tech stocks in the late 90s before they came crashing down. Once we hit that final stage and the price goes really crazy it is the time to consider selling a major portion of your stash and putting the proceeds into the next big thing, you won't know what that is perhaps but it will probably be something very much shunned and undervalued, much like gold was in 2000.

I read somewhere that it is likely that S & P will downgrade the US debt again in the near future. IF that happens, the stock market will take a hit for sure, no way to say how much though.
